As of 8 September 2026, "how much is Gemini Pro" depends entirely on which product you mean — because "Gemini Pro" is the name of three different things:

1. Google AI Pro (consumer subscription): $19.99 / month, or $199.99 / year. You are buying usage allowance in the Gemini app, plus 5TB of Google One storage, YouTube Premium Lite and a $10/month Google Cloud credit. This is what most people mean when they search the phrase.

2. Gemini 3.1 Pro (the model API): $2 per 1M input tokens and $12 per 1M output tokens while the prompt stays under 200K tokens. Past 200K, the rate jumps to $4 / $18. Cached input bills at $0.20 per 1M, and batch mode runs at roughly half the standard rate. There is no monthly fee — use nothing and you pay nothing.

3. Gemini in Google Workspace (per seat): not sold separately. In March 2025 Google discontinued the standalone Gemini Business ($20/user/mo) and Gemini Enterprise ($30/user/mo) add-ons, folded Gemini into every Business and Enterprise plan, and raised plan prices by roughly 16–22% at the same time. Against the free tier, $19.99 buys three things: 4× the usage, full rather than "limited" access to Gemini 3.1 Pro, and storage going from 15GB to 5TB. The free tier is not weak — a Flash-class default model, limited Gemini 3.1 Pro, image generation, Gemini Live and Deep Research are all included and cover everyday questions comfortably. What you are buying is not being interrupted, not a smarter model.
